Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 – Windows Phones by Nokia

It has been a long time since Nokia-Microsoft partnership, in Feb, and Nokia was not very keen to launch a Windows Phone device, until now.Today, at Nokia World Conference in London, Nokia announced two of the most awaited devices this year, actually after the tie-up, Lumia 800 and Lumia 710. Both the devices runs on the latest Windows Phone variant, Windows Phone 7.5 aka Mango.Nokia Lumia 800 and 710Formerly known as Searay, Lumia 800 is said to be the ” first real windows phone “, by Nokia’s CEO, Stephen Elop. Now, lets have a look at the specifications and decide whether it is really the one.As you can see, the specs are not that great and could have been better with a dual-core processor or 1 GB RAM and microSD card slot.The Lumia 800 features a stunning uni-body design, line the N9, and available in three colors – black, cyan and magenta.Lumia 800 will be available in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK next month. And better than Lumia 800, it has got a microSD card slot. Have a look at the specs.Lumia 710 will be available in two colors – stealth black and crisp white with changeable back-cover. The users of Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan will see it first with Nokia Lumia 800.Update: The Times of India suggest prices of 29,000 INR (about 360 GBP) and 19,000 INR (237 GBP) for the 800 and 710 respectively.
